Excellent job Fat Lip,you'll have yourself a sweet Big Ray cruiser for the rail trails this year.I built an XL back in 07 and hotrodded her out real nice for the rail trails here in Ct.She sports the big Sturmey,springer frontend,disc brakes,custom seat built to keep you tucked in for long rides,lights, speedo,etc.Put on some serious mileage over the years and she never disappoints.When you start riding that bad boy you'll be amazed how well and how far you can ride one of these.The keys are the seat itself and the gearing on the Sturmey hub.The seat needs the backrest so as to give you something to hold you in so you don't push yourself off the back and to give you leverage.As far as the hub you can swap out the hub sprocket anywhere from 16 to 22 teeth.I run the 18 tooth as it gives me a good cross of light hill climbing and a good 12 to 16+mph on the flats of the railtrails.I actually get nuts on occasion and stomp it once in a while,top speed so far was 22.3 mph for a short and winded burst on the flats!!Good luck on the rest of your build,will be peeking at your progress.
