I would not want my original stuff done, but since this is a Kustom, and based on his styling I feel it would be a great addition to the bike. I think bikes like this it is cool. Maybe my Don Prudhomme bike having Prudhommes' signature would have been cool! Would I pay extra for a bike because of it? Not really!

Tell me a Shelby signed car isn't worth more or isn't more collectable

That is OK with me but I wouldn't want him to sign the seat, hood, fender, etc.,etc. Dave T

My uncle owns an original Barris custom and knows him personally, and from what he told me it confirmed what I heard. I agree with the above comments, a signature can ruin it for me unless it is done tastefully and in the right place. It can also increase the value if done tastefully and it is the right person. If you have a restored bike, then just repaint another guard and have it signed, or have the bars signed. If it is an original bike then have a photo taken and have it signed. Just keep in mind though, Georges daughter is running the company now and I've been told that anything that gets sent in to be signed may be signed by anyone working there at that time. A signature is only good if it is documented so have it done in person and get pics if possible.

I would just have him sign a photo of it. I like Ron's idea of having a spare chain guard signed though. John B.

The Muscle Bike Museum bikes that are signed don't make me want them anymore than if they were not. I was just thinking since this bike was a Tribute bike to Barris it might be fitting. He won't live forever you know! In the end I will do what I feel is best but appreciate the honesty about this.

My reason is if you make a crappy copy he would laugh at you and say I am not signing that. So if he thinks it is a great copy and signs it then kind of gives the bike some validity.

A signature is only good if it is documented so have it done in person and get pics if possible. i met him out in salina for the kkoa leadsled spectacular and every year hes been really cocky and charges $10 bucks for an autograph on something you brought and $20 fro a picture of his i personally think its a little ridicolous but thats just me and if any gets the chance to see gene winfield or bill hiens do it those are problably one of the coolest and most down to earth guys in the custom car scene
