7 days and then I report it and file an unpaid item claim and get my fees back.

I do the same thing at 7 days and file a claim. I usually ask them if they still want the bike. I say if you don't want the bike let me know it is not a problem. That way it gives them a out without feeling embarrassed they bought something they probably sholdn't have. I am not saying I like doing that But I would rather know where I stand with the sale as soon as I can. I hate people who don't pay right away. I mean when you go to the store you pay right then. LOL

I usually require payment within 48 hours because like you said if you buy it in the store, payment is due right away. If they want 30 more days, pay with a credit card through Paypal. On day 3, I usually send a nice note reminding them that payment is due, and that if they have changed their mind to please let me know. I have never had to go beyond that, thankfully. 7 days is more than fair before reporting it.

Iam ok with giving the time but ,make some kind of contact .the bad part about the whole deal is the person he outbid lives 30 miles from me .and I know paypal will want to hold the funds they always do when I sell one that goes to LA unless they pay right away .This is the kind of crap that really makes it seem more like a job than a hobby.

My auctions state payment must be made within 48 hours. If I do not receive payment then I send them a nice email stating my terms.
Always put your terms in the description. Good Luck!!! Dan |

Iam at 87 with 100%positive feedback. I've sold around 10 bikes on eBay the only times paypal holds the funds is when the bike has been sold to someone in southern califonia. Well enough botching I'll just wait and see
