Well I sent my check to stingrayjoe for the purchase of a late 60's 3 bar purple Huffy Rail frame and forks combination so it's just a matter of time before it gets here. I don't think I will find a very nice purple original Rail seat/sissy bar so I will look for a nice original Rail seat in any color and a regular seat bar and paint the bike according to the seat color. So on my list of items needed will be a nice Rail chain guard (also to be painted to match the frame/seat), fenders/handlebars not needing to be re-chromed, and both rims. If I can't find a 5 speed rim then I will just make it a single speed bike and put a slick on it to give it the rail look. I may part out this bike but it has nicer parts so the prices will reflect this. I have almost $200 in the wheel because of the redline tires, and nice chrome rims. I am having a hard time letting go.

Rear fender decent chrome with some chrome loss on the flare.25.00 shipped.. original Wheel chain guard has been rewelded on the mounting bracket & bad touched up.20.00 shipped and a NOS front Wheel.. 30.00 shipped or everything for 60.00 shipped..lmk. and i can post more pics...murrayeliminator@yahoo.com

Hey Ron, what are the chances that you have an original Rail seat that is in great shape with seat bar post/clamp and sissy bar even if it is just the short one? I'm thinking of finding/securing a seat and then match the paint to the seat when I clone the Rail from Stingray Joe's frame which is now purple and purple mint seats are probably not around any more.
