You only need an axle? I have a front hub around here somewhere but I do not remember the year. Wouldn't a Schwinn front hub just be Union hub that is marked "Schwinn"? If so any Union axle would work.

I am very surprised the axles are even dated. I am not a Schwinn guy so I do not know that kind of stuff. I will dig up the hub I have and if it is a 66 you can have it really cheap. I have no use for it other than just a hub to use.
