Ronnie James Dio - old school rocker who was once the frontman for Rainbow, Black Sabbath (replaced Ozzy Osbourne), died today. Has been battling stomach cancer for awhile now..................i am bummed out, i really liked his music both with Sabbath and his solo stuff.

Damn! I was just watching some old school stuff on VH1 "Holy Diver" I always liked "Last in Line" a lot too. He always made me laugh because his voice just didn't fit his face and body to me.

Too bad...I only really heard him in Rainbow, and now pretty much
remember him from this. (Dio comes in after 2 minutes or so....until
then there's plenty of swearing and Meatloaf.)

One of my fondest concert memories is Dio with Black Sabbath at Merriweather Post Pavillion, Columbia MD circa 1982 doing Children of the Sea! Rock on Ronnie....

I am a Rainbow fan. Going to miss this guy. He died here in Houston. My guess, M.D. Anderson Hospital .Huge Cancer facility.
