I found this site by buying parts from raleigh ron. I bought a 1970 Screamer 1 at auction. It is now almost all cleaned up. The chrome had some light rust that evapo rust took care of. The paint is in pretty good shape. It does have scraches but for original i think it is pretty good. I just bought another one to fix up but this one is going to take more work and money LOL I just loved these bikes as a kid and now i still love them as a kid. I never had a schwinn muscle bike. I only got the basic ones Sears had then. 2 kids had Screamers in our town of 1000 people. I used to have a pedal car collection but sold it off now i might be on to muscle bikes. Well every bike I own now is a project...lol I have my Penguin Clone to paint and finish. I have another Huffy Dragster project. I have the liquidator rail project. I have my spaceliner project. Another Huffy Rail and a eliminator. I need to paint 5 bikes. The Penguin will be next in line.

The last Screamer I sold was Lucky # 7 I had a lot of fun buying, fixing, and selling the bikes. It is not so much collecting the bikes for me. I am having funing buying a bike cleaning,fixing,painting what ever it needs and selling it. It is a cool hobby for me because it basicly costs me little or nothing to play...LOL I made some money on bikes and parts. 5 of the 7 screamers went to guys who bought their boy hood bike back. The best sale was the bike Ron repainted for me. It went to a 6 year old kid in Texas... Now I am Screamerless....lol I am moving over to the Rails and Slingshots now. I have 2 different ones to restore. You saw the rassberry one and I have that weirdo one that is a 69 frame stamped a 70...lol It is a CS like yours but a 5 speed. The pedal cars were cool but you could not use them. But I did take 2 of mine part way down my driveway....lol

The frame was painted purple then green over it. The forks were just painted green. The 69 Green Rail was a 3 speed only and this bike is a 5 speed. The 70 green cs stilleto had a 20 x 1.75 front wheel and mine has the 20 x 1 3/8 wheel. Mine has chrome fenders the stilleto has green painted fenders. It is a 3 bar frame and the 70 is a 2 bar frame. The number on the frame looks like it was restamped too. Here is the link to the post if you want to see the pictures. My New 69/70 ?? Rail Clean Up Almost Finished.
