I picked this one up a few weeks ago locally. I wasn't going to post it because I thought you guys might be sick of seeing my Apollo's at this point, but it's been pretty slow on the board lately so I figured what the hell.

LMAO! When I saw your shoes I thought the same thing! At least he has shoes on! lol
![]() You know how many parts go through ebay and the net with body parts in the shot? A lot! Reminds me of this lady who had me ebay her house, and she took all the picture. She handed me the photo stick and I loaded them and there it was... a picture of the toilet with a floater still in it! You know that always helps sell a house! ![]() |

Just want to learn............. Would that be the correct shifter for that bike?
Thanks. Steve S. |

That year had 2 different style shifters..............the one pictured is correct, there is a metal plate between the rails, the other shifter that was used did not have a plate between the rails and was a taller shifter.
DT ![]() PS- I have a 1973 Ross Apollo 3 speed with that same shifter and its for sale if interested.

Yes Steve the shifter is correct for 1973 it's a frame mounted shifter. In 1973 Apollo's only have the frame mounted smaller shifter. The interesting thing is that in 1972 and in 1974 they used both the smaller frame mounted shifter and the larger shifter. I have discussed this with Apollonut and we seem to have noticed that the later 72 and early 74 Apollos have the frame mounted shifters. I am thinking Ross probably made a run of frames with the frame mounts in late 72 for the 73 year. They probably put some out in late 72 with the small shifter and then used the over run into 74 as well, because the later 74 bikes revert back to the large shifter again .

very nice so far. Are the wite line tires used during particular years and or models? I saw a couple Veith Extraprime nos slicks on ebay with the white lines if your stash of white lines are running low. Kenny.

Hi Kenny....The 73 and 74 Apollo's had the white line painted Regency tires. The 75 and 76 tires had reflective Kenda tires. Steve (Apollo Nut) has been schooling me on the Apollo's
