I have looked @ them and it appears to have dried protectant on the chrome parts. I don't want to assemble them, just keep them from rusting. Thanks.

I am not sure or any way to protect them, but most bikes need detailed every 6 months to a year due to dust ect..

Posts: 3496 (02/20/10 08:39:42) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	If it's still in the box and your not going to build it. about the only thing you can do is keep it stored in a dry place. I have a NOS Roll-fast bike that was sitting in a damp basement for years and the box took the brunt of the damage. the bike still looks great, but does have some peppering on some areas from the moister. on all my bikes I pull them apart and Clean & wax then with 3 coats of good car wax. that will protect them for a long time if you keep them in doors in a climate controlled enviorment.

No i would just leave them in the boxes and not try and wax them. doing so would require taking them out of the box and that will take away some of the Value.
