The Ramones? |
Lead | |
|
Sitting here with the Ramones playing on Media Player while on the forums. Any Ramones fan's on here? They seemed a lot
cooler before their songs were used on TV commercials. It is funny to me how they couldn't buy public air waves when they were doing their music. People
said it was noise then, but now they use it to sell Mops, or feminine hygiene products.

If you do not know who the Ramones are.... that is a sin!
Even if you don't like Punk music their music is now being used behind half the commercials on TV. You have a computer do a search on the net. Here is a classic by them!

The 80's was the worst decade for music as far as I'm concerned..Punk Rock, Glam Rock, Boy George, do i need to continue?..lol... |

Punk was out in the 70's, and boy George would not be considered anywhere close to those music styles, he was more pop/reggae.
I was more into Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Metallica and stuff like that. ![]() Right now is the worst decade for music as far as I am concerned! ![]() |

Many of our major Metal bands were heavily influenced by Punk. Metallica, Slayer ect.. I miss those days sometimes, man I was pissed off back then! I can't remember why now! lol

Im a musician I try to listen to everything.. But still always go back to the Greats... Zeppelin... Stones... The Who.. alot more.. too many to list. I even like me some country and rap.

I still love punk rock and mostly listen to late 70's oi and punk. Not too many mainstream bands but the ramones had some hits. Even had a mohawk, liberty spikes, still have my studded leather jacket that I painted and put patches all over but my lady doesn't like when I wear it. I played bass in a couple punk bands. The last couple of years I have been really into outlaw country. I spin classic country records once a month at a bar in sf.
