Are those the original decals on the 442?

Cool little collection. I do not collect Hot Wheels, but I found one under a cabinet in a kitchen I was remodeling and I ended up selling it on Ebay for $400.
Some of those can be very valuable. Those are! They are in great shape. If you ever sell them, make sure you find out what they are worth first. I almost sold
my $400 car for 100 until an honest Ebayer emailed me and told me the value.

classicfan1 wrote: Yes it was. It was a plum colored 1970 "Show Off" which is a red line tire 1970 Cuda with a clear hood. The plum color or hot pink color in any car are the most valuable from what I have researched. Nothing like finding a few hundred bucks under a cabinet.

white trash wrote: Actually, it's original name was "Bye Focal and it had a picture of eye glasses on each side. There two engine variations on those cars, I forget what they are though. In 1973, it got the name "Show Off" and the plastic hood was removed. 1973 was the year they removed the Collector Buttons, spectra flame paint (now it was enamel colors) and permanent wheels where introduced. Only three really new models were made that year due to various reasons. All were only one year issues. Except the Sweet 16. |

I thought it was a bye focal at first with a missing hood but figured it out. I would get in to collecting those if I could but I can not afford it. I would
much rather have a bike or something I can use. I do not see myself plying with hot wheels anymore, but you never know. I may digress to my childhood sooner
than most.

I still have my old HotWheels but they are not in that good of shape as they did get played with but started collecting again back in 91 and got too many now,I
really like the regular wheel Matchbox cars from the mid 60s the best and was the first things I bought off ebay when I got a computer. I also started buying
the Gorgi cars I had back then too but did not get as crazy as I did with the Matchboxes and picked up some old Tonka type trucks as I felt more comfortable
dealing on ebay.

I used to collect Hot Wheels, but nothing serious, I just bought what I liked. I eventually got a bunch and grew tired of them. I sold most. Now I just have a
bunch of Johnny Lightening cars and such. Bikes are my favorite Big Toy. lol

Gas powered Cox Dune Buggy | ||

When I was a kid one of the coolest toys I ever had was gas powered Cox orange metal flake dune buggy. I have been looking the last couple of years to buy one on E-Bay but I still haven't made the decision to buy. A nice one in the box will cost over $300.00 and I am not sure I want to spend that much.
Dave T (Spyder) They also came in metal flake purple |
