My lovely wife and I spent 3-4 hours on the road Sunday to bring these orphans home.

my grandson asisting .

1977 Schwinn Scrambler in good survivor condition, looks all og except the red Tuff Wheels. Have a question for the Schwinn gurus re the frame, is what is the exact differences and how to tell it's Scrambler vs Stingray, I loked around online but no details just comments on the added welding.
I thought about making this a Stingray because that 'does it more' for me, but hate to ruin a surviovor, too, so on the fence, might part or sell this one.

Next is this Amf built, Western Flyer Buzz Bike III.
( thinking the III = originally 3 speed ? or is that just a model generation ? )

Been done Bmx style with unusual short but wide bars ( has knurls for double clamp, but 'bump' for the single stem .

Also 'S2 20 x 2.125 / Schumann / West Germany' rims, with large hubs ( front has grease fitting ) and huge heavy thick spokes. 36H, might be good on the Scrambler.

Some one cut the rear fender mount off, but I htink I can cut one off a 26" ladies frame I have and it will loook right.

Ron, do you still have the headbadge for these ? , I did a test polish on the rusty guard and it cleaned right up, not sure about over the screening, hate to scratch it, might try an Oxylic dip first.

Hope to clean and paint this one, lots of years of neglect and dirt, the original green might polish up, but test spots I did clean up but have chips, etc so a repaint seems in order - look forward to trying to save this one.
So many projects, so little time and good weather .
