I bought this rusted out pile off of craigslist in NC for $40 and drove 3 hours to pick it up. i didn't really have a build plan for it but i did have an iverson rebel 500 parts bike i could use the fork and chainguard off of. i knew i couldn't track down enough parts to restore it so i thought id just have some fun with it and make it a modified "period" looking bike.

what was left of the seat cover blew off on the way home. the pan is toast. im not sure if the original sissy bars were welded into the frame or if they rusted into but the didn't want to come out. so i had to rout them out. im gonna have to make a clamp for the front of the chainguard otherwise id have to drill a hole in the frame to use the original and that's not gonna happen. the donor headset didn't have bearings in it, it used nylon bushings with a hollow metal tube inside them and then a threaded rod goes through that to tighten the fork onto the frame. the original were cracking and falling apart so i ordered some nylon tubes and made some more. some of the original paint is underneath all of this house paint. it used to be yellow but ive gfot other plans for the paint.
