When to wax new paint?

Posts: 353 (09/21/11 17:52:49) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I have applied (rattlecan) new black acrylic metalflake and many, many acrylic clearcoats to my Sting-Ray over a period of weeks. How long after the final clearcoat before I can wax it?

Just a good couple coats of clear works fine. More clear isn't really what makes it look super shiny it is how it is applied. Some aerosol paints are a lot harder to get a thick shine out of.

Posts: 353 (09/22/11 08:01:11) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I'm in Florida and the relative humidity right now is 88% (I just looked). That's hardly "good drying weather." I waited to paint yesterday until it dropped to 50-60% midday, but that's about as good as it ever gets down here. Probably the longer I wait, the better. Hell, it's been so long now I'm numb to the "pain."
