I bought a set of Lester mags to convert to a sport mag type wheel. This is only a plastic cut out. There will be one on each side of the wheel then bolted together. They cover the original spokes pretty good. They could be cut from steel or aluminum or plastic. They could be painted, powder coated, or plated. They could even be cut from mirror stainless. I am working on getting a perfect cutout made. I am no artist...lol You could make a lot of different styles. To give you wide choice. Thought I would share in case anyone wants to make a set of custom wheels easy.
Here are what I came up with so far. It is aluminum 050 plates. They fit nice but have some rattle at the top of the spokes near the outside of the rim. If I bolted them there too it would solve that. I am not sure how I am going to finish them. Polish or paint? I have to polish or paint the rim also. One is a sport mag type and the other is my Webco copy. Here are the Pics.!!
