leo,.......i never touch this bike. i bought it exactly as you see it. i never knew it was on the forums or i never would have bought it. it was on craigslist w/o the red tape on the seat,....but when i went to pick the bike up,....it had the seat w/the red tape. i never printed a pic,....and did'nt catch it til i got home. i called this guy back and told him about the seat trickery and the fact it's been all these forums. i bought the bike only as a means to defray the costs of a already planned road trip for some ballooner parts i was getting (for personal use). i bought it because i never heard of this bike before (i've said many times in my ebay listings that i'm not a muscle bike guy) and i thought i could help pay for my trip and maybe make a few buck. the trip was a total of like 250 miles. it took time and gas. i never crawled all over the bike,....it looked good and i still stand behind my description. i was'nt out to cheat, deceive, or mislead anyone. in fact,....if you read the description you'll see i spent way more time talking about the history and rareity,.....not miny paint. you knew this bike from a previous owner and remembered it that way,....this bike has had many, many owners,....and the last guy said he was going to ride it. you email me an offer,...which i accepted,....but you never told me you knew the bike and you never asked any questions. please read the above messages about this bike and you'll see the guy i got it off of rated it only a 6.5,....7.5 if cleaned. he also talked of the seat and that he was going to ride it. i got the bike as you got the bike including the taped seat. i never got the seat he used for the craigslist pics. i hope this helps,....i've done nothing but to try and sell what i thought to be a rare bike,....that in my opinion is in great overall condition............i gave you my home phone leo,.....please call..........
