For Kenny, and anyone else interested - Serial number is M08266 X25 03068. Makes it a '68, right? Here's one picture, I will email the other 14 pics to Kenny and he can post more if he wants to. Overall, bike is very nice. Seat is mint, chrome and paint are very nice

Mike, Thank you very much. I see a lot of things incorrect and added on with this bike. Yes, it's a 68, but should be a single speed. So, is this bike red or pink Mike? hahaha I still can't tell from the pics. I just paid attention to the name on the chain guard. If it was originally a 3 speed, it would have said Swinger III on it. I had a chainguard from one once upon a time. It should also have had a chrome seat post if the chrome seat post clamp is original. I still like it though. Wouldn't give 500 for it, but like it anyway. Kenny.

Looked like just a candy red to me. The thing is hanging from the ceiling so I had a fun time contorting myself to read that serial number.

What's that Firecat lookin' like? Was it as nice as it appeared? Be sure to post up on that one too. Kenny.

Fire Cat is looking good. Probably the nicest one in my collection so far. It appears that this bike was ridden a handful of times, then put away. I will post the pics in my 'Official Murray Chopper' thread when I get a chance. Also been trying to find the time to do a 'line up' shot of all the choppers together, that should look cool.

bikepeddler wrote:Those seats were sold as accessories in many areas of the U.S. and Canada in the early to mid 70's, they were made in Holland I believe. Some Euro hi risers came with them in the early 70's. I have an old black one still. They come up for sale on Ebay occasionally. JB |

I have the exact same seat. Same color. Never found anything to use it on. But it looks cool.
