Hi Everyone--I was actually looking for Schwinn Sting-Ray stuff when I came upon this forum. It renewed my interest in other than Schwinn brand bikes. I think I would like to find a Huffy Wheel someday!

Hi to all, I am Randy and have never done the Forum thing till now. Looks Neat. I am a collector of Model Cars, Autos, Records and now Bicycles. As a kid I had an Otasco Flying O Eliminator. At about the age of 15, riding bikes sort of became kinda uncool. We started walking, knowing we would be driving soon. I loved my bike, so I tore it down to rebuild it. (Wore thru the white letter tires). As I would start driving soon, I realized I would never need the bike again. Soooooo I gave it to a freinds little brother. I have regretted this ever since. I Looked for years at Thrift stores, junk yards, on Ebay, etc, til I found out my bike was actually a Murray. I have been given carcases, but not what I was looking for. I now have a 68 Screamer,68 Foremost Swinger, 2 Girl Eliminators of both frames (all works in progress) and other parts. Nobody listens to same music as me, rebuilds 60's Fords, or builds Model Cars (kinda quit that one myself). Glad to see people out in the real world like their bikes though. Hope we can work together, This is getting fun.

Hi guys, I have a dozen or so riders. Here is a pick of one of my favourites. I call it "the Skunk."
![]() It is a Pacer frame and shifter, the rest is just parts. I put brand new whitewalls on it since the photo was taken.

To my fellow muscle bike guys,
I'm known as cruz300m because that's the kind of car I drive. I've always been into muscle cars and within the last 2 years got into muscle bikes and got vey hooked. I ended up with a pretty good collection. I really like working on the bikes, it's like therapy for me. This site has given me more insight into my hobby, looking foward to sharing some more info with you guys. |

Howdy from upstate NY!
I keep finding old bikes in my travels and I would love to know more about them before they move on to their new owners. I sell them on my lawn for a few bucks to single Mom's and other folks who are having a tough time in the new economy. thanks Skip |

Hello everyone. New guy here. | ||
|
My name is Jack and I'm from Kansas. I just started working on a Western Flyer "The Wheel" project bike and came across this site while looking for decals. I'm fairly active on the Schwinn and Ratrod sites because most of my other bikes are post war ballooners. Nice to meet you guys.

I may have emailed with you before about the bike. I have the seat tube, guard, and shifter decals. I don;t have the small W/F head badge decal though. Hmmm. Wasn't me. I just picked this bike up yesterday. I will need those decals though, so you can expect an order from me soon.

Greetings Folks:
New rider from Culver City, CA. I was originally into early–mid '80s BMX bikes (i.e., Mongoose, Redline, PK Ripper, Kuwahara) 'coz that's what I grew up with. You can see my Mongoose here. My curiosity with earlier bikes started after seeing the trailer for a documentary on the history of BMX—Joe Kid On A Stingray. Of course, the default classic bike was a Schwinn Stingray, so my dream of having one simmered for awhile, and it wasn't until a couple of months ago when I actually started shopping for one on craigslist. While seeing mostly either museum-quality or "collectible ultra-rare" models that were going for $300 and up, I happened to see an ad that said "Vintage Sears bike" so I clicked on it, and saw a curious but bad-ass looking bike called a Sears Screamer for cheap! Just the name alone had me sold. So, a couple of phone calls later, the bike was mine. ![]() While on the hunt for Screamer parts, I ran into Raleigh Ron, who suggested that I join this forum. I did, and within a week of joining, I hooked up with a shifter console shell that I desperately needed (the one on my bike was missing)—thanks, Jax! Owning the bike has started a whole new addiction for me, and I'm already considering starting a collection of non-Schwinn musclebikes. I like the idea of owning originals, but am more interested into creating customs. Either way, the Screamer has been a life changer, and joining this forum has opened a whole new world. Glad to be here, and hoping to meet other riders in L.A. Thanks for reading. Yours, Greg
