Picked up this Monark tank bike a couple months ago and haven't really came up with a plan, So i was thinking a real rider something i can put a few miles on and use the bike path that's about a block behind my house. The muscle bike i have is more for looking at, doesn't fit great, and feels like it will come apart with any real riding, the Dyno kustom cruiser is big and comfy but its a single speed coster brake and the fat tires make it slow. So i came across a add on CL for a 65 CCM Galaxie 26" womens bike that has front and rear brakes and a 3-speed hub, plus cool looking grips and fenders to boot so for $20 i got it. The front fork on the monark was bent bad and has a nasty cut so its out and the CCM fork is in with bars and brakes!! Thinking the rear 3-speed rim with a smaller sprocket will work better for hills, anyway you get the idea it will be a low budget frankenmonark with an emphasis on performance and comfort but with a...

These pictures are just from when i finally bought a camera a few years ago to now. This bike has been a rat rod, lowrider, cruiser, and more. I bought a complete 5 speed in purple just to get all the parts for my frame .
I put this together around six mabey seven years ago,and was a little bit of a head scratcher bike to figure out and get together properly and road worthy for our 20+ mile bike runs. She's powdercoated "black twilight" and "black anthracite" and has a 3 speed Nexus Shimano wheelset from an Electra. I had to have a new seatpost made up to get me back away from the handle bars and the light bar had to be reinforced via some strap steel underneath so as not to have it stress crack because its nothing more than cheap pot metal, theres a lot of extra sheet metal on this bike that doesn't always like to go back together with ease and doing so without the extra set of hands can be a toughie.Lot of work but worth it,hope you like her.

<img...
