After more than two years of searching I finally found one! It's exactly like the one my parents paid $80 for in 1980, when I was eleven years old. It took them 8weeks to pay it off!
I'm posting pics so some of the experts here can help determine how original it is. I don't think the cranks or pedals are. The wheels are rough, but luckily I have a nice set on the Fire Cat I bought from Jaxon. I also have NOS grips and some repop reflector brackets I got from oneadamtwelve. Thanks guys!
I need to give it a good cleaning, any advise on how to clean the paint and remove the light rust from the front end without damaging it would be greatly appreciated.
Pic from Ebay:

Pics I took:

<img...

I was saving this for RRB's build off, but That would be the wrong audience for it. I am going to start with my 26x1 3/8 Iverson Drag Stripper. When I am finished I will have a hot wheels inspired larger version of the original 20 inch Barris bikes. Hopefully I can do it justice.

On a side note if it falls outside of Resto mod and into full blown Kustom let me know and boot me. Does pro paint does that make it a full blown Kustom because it's in the 40's in jersey. I am also making my own handle bars.

I will get pics up tonight.

Picked up this Monark tank bike a couple months ago and haven't really came up with a plan, So i was thinking a real rider something i can put a few miles on and use the bike path that's about a block behind my house. The muscle bike i have is more for looking at, doesn't fit great, and feels like it will come apart with any real riding, the Dyno kustom cruiser is big and comfy but its a single speed coster brake and the fat tires make it slow. So i came across a add on CL for a 65 CCM Galaxie 26" womens bike that has front and rear brakes and a 3-speed hub, plus cool looking grips and fenders to boot so for $20 i got it. The front fork on the monark was bent bad and has a nasty cut so its out and the CCM fork is in with bars and brakes!! Thinking the rear 3-speed rim with a smaller sprocket will work better for hills, anyway you get the idea it will be a low budget frankenmonark with an emphasis on performance and comfort but with a...
